Peace, a chance to stop AIDS

ICW WORLD CAMPAIGN

Africa - Asia/Pacfic - Latin America & Caribbean - North America - Europe

Mankind survival depends on our ability to ensure World Peace.

The main challenge in the attempt to stop AIDS must be found not only in the necessary and essential scientific efforts, but also in modifying human attitudes that, based on prejudice and discrimination, lay the breeding ground for the HIV virus discrimination, as foretold by Jonathan Mann .

During the XV international AIDS Conference in Bangkok, 2004, Nobel Peace Price Nelson Mandela, concerned about HIV spreading, drew the world’s attention whit his strong statements : he demanded an immediate commitment from world leaders to avoid the extinction of human race as a result of the AIDS pandemic . At that moment, a group of activists headed by Argentinean Patricia Pérez, ICW LATINA Regional Secretary decided to take a stand and commit ourselves in the struggle against the violence on Human Species that HIV/AIDS poses.
